Lucky to have had you ♧♧♧

I just wanted to share a story with you all. One day, a long time ago, I was studying for a school exam. As usual, I was procrastinating and day dreaming of far pretty things and wanting to go outside and enjoy the sunshine than bury my head in books. While staring into space, I spotted a car stop across the street in front of my window. The man unwound his car window and out came the cutest black pomeranian dog. The car then sped off and the dog sat on the side walk in front of my window.

After an hour or two, the dog was still there. Just sitti
ng and waiting. Curiously, I called my youngest brother and told him what had happened. We then grabbed some meat and lured the dog in. We already had a dog at the time and mum was not very fond of dogs either. So we decided that we will call the animal shelter to get him picked up. After much thought and hard work convincing mum, we got to keep him. That was more than 10 years ago.

Taken Last Christmas Lucky @ 15yo.

Pets bring such joy in our lives don't they? They can be the greatest companion and
give such unconditional love and ask almost nothing in return.

My Lucky passed away on Monday, 13th December 2010 of old age. I hope he knew how happy we are for having him in our lives. May you rest in peace now, wherever you are. I will always love and cherish the joys you have brought into my life. x

I'm so sorry about your dog. I've never owned a cat/dog before, but I've witnessed the devastation people go through when they lose their pets. It's like a family member. Feel better:)

Aw, what a mean man for leaving the dog behind like that! But awesome that you got to keep him - I'm so glad your mom agreed.

I would like to thank all you so much for your support and lovely messages. I truly appreciate them. ♥

@ Bea - Thank you. Definitely friend for life and family member too.

@ Adorably D - Thank you. yes he was definitely a beautiful dog.

@ Ashley - I'm so sorry for your loss also. I'm sure you also had a mourning period. For a pet to be with you for that long is truly a blessing and I'm sure he/she was part of the family. Thank you for sharing. x

@ Rachel - Just give your doggie the extra affection they crave for. How I wish to be able to cuddle lucky right now. But he is in a better place. Thank your for your support.

@SNCPort - Thank you. If you do decide to own one, I'm sure you'll be great! And yes, they do become part of the family and it's such an amazing thing. x

@ Roxan - I was actually thankful that the man abandoned Lucky especially in front of my window. He was destined to be with us. Thank you.

@ Sands - I was and still am in a way. It wasn't a big shock though. Lucky was already frail and as much as we took care of him his little body was just not coping. Definitely a lot of tears from me and my family but we all know that he's in a better place now. Thank you for your lovely comments. x

@ Summer - Thank you. I'm sure he is in doggy heaven. He's been such an amazing dog.

@ {av} - Definitely reflected on the time we spent together and the funny memories he left. He was definitely family. Thank you and I am coping because I know he's at a peace now.

@ PrettyNiftyThriftyFashion - Thank you for dropping by and leaving such a nice comment. I am feeling a lot better after all the tears. x

@ Christie - thank you for such a wonderful comment and for following. I give even bigger credit to my mum who was re-formed dog hater and in the end took care of Lucky like he was one of her kids. x
